GAME FEATURES & MECHANICS

Updated – July 14th

WHAT TO EXPECT

So you’re heading into the Zone? Here’s what you’re getting into:

You won’t be handed a full mag every time you reload. Ammo must be earned, looted, or bought—so every shot better count. Each squad receives a custom-built electronic device that tracks radiation zones, points to loot, helps with quests, and maybe (just maybe) keeps you alive. Treat it well—it’s your best friend out there. You’ll choose one of three points of interest to set up your squad’s temporary base. From there, it’s up to you where to go and who to trust. Form alliances, backstab your allies, double-cross the double-crossers. There’s no formal faction system… but that hasn’t stopped anyone from acting like there is.

NPCs are scattered across the map. Some will trade, some will offer quests, some will lie to you, and some might just open fire. Interact wisely—your choices have consequences. Stashes, crates, and loot are out there—but not everything you find is valuable. Some items are critical, others are trash in disguise. Choose what you carry wisely. The sheriff’s out there too, and he doesn’t take kindly to rule-breakers. Play smart, or get hunted.

PANDEMIC is inspired by Escape From Tarkov and STALKER, and drops you into a gritty, player-driven world with no rails and no safety nets. Every decision counts. Every move has weight. Bring your gear. Charge your radios. Trust no one—not even your teammates.
Welcome to PANDEMIC.

NPC

There are multiple NPCs in the game. At the beginning of the game you are sent to a random NPC in the Town of Bobruisk where “Kurva Bobr” lives. Your team needs to communicate with the NPCs to acquire contracts. Upon acquiring a contract, the NPC will provide the task description and provide directions.

PERSONAL LOOT

When you are looting a downed player, the only loot you are allowed to take is their Camp colored bands and Quest items if you are on the same quest as the downed player.

QUEST LOOT

You are only allowed to pick up task items if you have the contract for them.
If you are caught with a task item that you don’t have a contract for, you will be severely penalized.
Quest items will be tagged as “Quest item”.
If you die and have to respawn while carrying a task item, you drop the item on the place of your death.
You can come back to the place of your death to pick up your item, however if another team has the same task, they can pick up the item as well.
Please play honest, and don’t hide dropped items. Remember that this is an “honor rules” type of game.

TEAM JOURNAL

Each team captain will receive a “Team Journal”. These journals are required when receiving quests or rewards. All quests and rewards will be added to these journals by the NPCs with their signature/initial/stamp. If the team does not have an entry in the journal, it means it didn’t happen. NPCs will randomly check the journals against their central database.

BOUNTY

TEAM COMPOSITION

There will be up to 12 squads in total. Each squad consists of teams with 3 to 6 players, depending on overall player turnout.

Due to limited devices and resources, smaller teams may be merged if necessary. However, unlike last year, we aim to keep team sizes at 6 players or fewer.

Solo players will be grouped with other solo participants to form full teams, or added to existing teams that have fewer than 6 members.

We recommend that each team selects a team leader before the event. Upon arrival, you will receive your squad tag.

Depending on final player numbers, some teams may operate independently or be paired with another to form a full squad.

Final squad compositions will be announced one week before the event.
