Pandemic 2026 – It has been a year. Clarington Incident survivors packed up and left due north. After a harsh winter on the road, they found solace in the area near the old town of Kinmount, according to pre-pandemic maps. Enduring the elements, the group started to build a new town. After a while, free roamers, adventurers, mercenaries, and all other “road folk” found their refuge. Trade with other local settlements began, and all was going relatively well. Until the “Legion” arrived. The remnants of the old-world military, fierce and relentless, always searching for resources and “recruits” to continue their pointless crusade of trying to sew together the world as it was before. At first, our heroes tried to bargain in good faith but soon were met with force. It took a lot to drive the Legion back. Many brave adventurers perished. The Legion took casualties too and crawled back to its local base to lick its wounds. What happens next? Well, it is for you to decide… New Pandemic awaits. This is only the beginning.

Pandemic 2025 – After last year’s chaos, the survivors fought back. The infected were burned out in a massive purge, and scattered groups managed to reclaim parts of Clarington Woods. Shelters have been rebuilt fortified with salvaged scrap and guarded by those tough enough to last. A few safe zones are now operational, offering limited protection, trade, and a place to regroup. But the anomaly is still active, and it’s changing. Pockets of radiation have started to spread some areas are now deadly without proper detection or timing. Only squads equipped with the new field issued tracking devices can safely navigate these zones. Crates are reappearing, supply routes are unstable, and agents are back in the field with missions that could make or break you. Resources are scarce. Trust is a currency. And survival means adapting fast. The infection may be gone… but something worse may have taken its place.

Pandemic 2024 – The world had already collapsed nuclear war, climate disaster, and unchecked greed left civilization in ruins. Food was scarce, water even worse. For five years, you and your crew survived, scraping by in the wastelands. Some of you were once soldiers; others just learned to shoot fast enough to stay alive. Then came a rumor: a long-lost scientific expedition had discovered something valuable in the Clarington region. You followed the trail searching, trading, fighting and entered the Zone. But something was wrong. Contamination had worsened. A scientist known as Dr. Doom claimed he could make people immune to the gas. Instead, his “cure” turned them into gun-wielding infected. They slaughtered nearly everyone. Those who survived scattered. The Zone went silent.

Pandemic 2023 Aftermath – The Chalk River Nuclear reactor had catastrophically exploded. It’s been 10 years since. The bunker doors finally open. Bunker survivors who are now locals learn the surrounding area was unaffected by the explosion. But there is dangerous green smog scattered throughout the area. There are now new mercenaries and scientists investigating the area. The cause was the zone! which produced an “alive” crystal. Mercenaries extracted this crystal from the area for scientific research and ever since the crystal was extracted, the zone became hostile. Entering the zone without proper equipment dooms people to quick, certain death. Forest around the zone seems to be protected by an unknown force, and is still one of the cleanest forests in the province.

Pandemic 2023 – The Chalk River Nuclear reactor is on the verge of a meltdown and the cargo plane with nuclear reactor parts crashed before it could reach the destination. Dangerous equipment is now scattered throughout the area of Clarington woods. Government issued a search contract for mercenaries to pick up and profiteer from this disaster. 9 groups were sent to search and recover any assets and live personal. As the helicopter with the asset about to fly off, its hit by a rocket and crashes near by. As the groups wait for another extraction there’s a loud siren coming from nuclear power plant, and all the locals rush to the nearest bunker.
